Chapitre 3: Hitsuzen no Hane | The Wings of Hitsuzen
Yuuko explains how there are different worlds with different cultures and living standards than what they've experienced. There are also people they might meet that they have known from their own worlds but they would not necessarily be the same. Yuuko is impressed that Syaoran has both sincerity and determination, both needed for any task. She releases Mokona and a magic circle appears under it and wings are sprouted on its back. Mokona opens its mouth wide and sucks everyone that is to travel in, before disappearing. The rain slows to a halt and as the sun breaks out of the clouds, Yuuko wishes them luck.
Deep in his mind, Syaoran remembers that Sakura will always remain his most important person, even if she was to forget him, and that he would do anything to not let her die no matter what happens. When he awakens, rather dazed, the first thing he sees is Mokona. Remembering Sakura, he gets up immediately and finds her still asleep in his arms. Even while he was asleep, he never let her go. Faye and Mokona had helped to dry everyone off after getting soaked in the rain while Kurogane can't forget how Mokona had sucked them into its mouth. Faye keeps giving Kurogane nicknames, to the latter's annoyance, as Syaoran worries about Sakura. Faye then finds one of her feathers stuck to Syaoran's cloak and they give it to her, it disappearing back into her body. Her body becomes a little warmer after it's received.
Mokona tells them that since Sakura's feather gives off a strong power, he'll know immediately when there's one nearby. Kurogane almost gets a heart attack from the expression on Mokona's face. He then coldly tells them that their business is up to them and he has no intention of helping. Syaoran immediately agrees straightaway that they won't be giving him any trouble, to the older man's surprise. Faye says that he'll help out as long as his life isn't endangered and because he has nothing else to do. The owners of the place Syaoran-tachi are staying in, Sorata and Arashi, enter the room, bearing food and drinks for all. They both seem to know Yuuko. Arashi gives Syaoran a blanket for Sakura as he attends to her, Sorata introduces himself and his wife - his honey. As she takes the drinks tray from her husband's hand, Sorata continues to gush his happiness at marrying his beloved and keeps coming back to Kurogane to tell him not to lay a hand on her, to the latter's utter annoyance at being singled out. Faye had already told Sorata the story so they know why Syaoran-tachi are there. Sorata tells them they were lucky for being able to come to their world - a happy country - the Hanshin Republic.
