Hello Nurse Sakura! By: Spinel Sun (amara_12@angelfire.com) Sakura and Avery were walking to Avery's house to have some fun, it had been 2 months since Sakura and Avery had met, but Sakura had never been to Avery's because her father was a scientist and he wouldn't let her have friends over because of some project, and Derek had just moved out and into an apartment for his college year. Avery's dad had finally aloud Avery to have a friend over. "So Avery, why aren't you usually aloud to have friends over?" asked Sakura. "Well," explained Avery, "Dad is a scientist and he won't let me leave the house to much because I once in a while, I catch a high fever for some reason. I really don't know, I would get this even when I was two years old. It was weird." Sakura said, "Oh." ~~*At Avery's house*~~ Sakura said in awe, "Wow Avery, you live in such a huge house. Double the size of mine." Avery smiled and opened the door. "Dad, I'm home! And I brought my friend Sakura over!" hollered Avery. A strange man appeared at the door, he looked a bit like Tori but his hair was a little shorter, and he was wearing a suit jacket. The man said, "I'm sorry Miss. Avery but you father is busy right now." Avery gave the man a mean look and said, "Oh, forget it then Shawn. Sakura and I will be in my room." "Hold on Av, sorry I didn't answer, I was in my lab." Sakura thought, 'Wow! Avery even has her own laboratory! She's the luckiest girl I know!' Sakura saw Avery's father for the first time. He was tall, with brown hair and some black streaks in his hair. He had a dress shirt on that was yellow with a darker yellow tie. He had dark navy blue dress pants on and he was wearing glasses. Avery's face lit up, "Daddy!" Mr. Naromie smiled, "How was school for you Av?" Avery smiled back, "Great! And this is my friend Sakura that I told you about. She's in my class." Mr. Naromie smiled again, "Well, it's nice to meet you Sakura. I'm sorry if Avery couldn't have you over from the time you two met, I've had a project to do and I couldn't be bothered." Sakura smiled back, "Oh, no problem sir. I understand. When it comes to homework I can't be bothered or sometimes I get off track." Mr. Naromie nodded, "I'll go make you girls some cocoa. You like cocoa right Sakura?" Sakura nodded, "Yes I do." Mr. Naromie went to the kitchen to make the two some cocoa. Avery signalled Sakura to follow her into her bedroom. Sakura said, "Wow Avery, your dad is really nice. He's a lot like my dad." Avery smiled, "Yeah, if I didn't know it they could be twins." Both the girls were laughing now. When they got to Avery's bed room, it had some books lying in a bookshelf that was painted navy. Her room was painted navy blue and it had gold stars all around and a full moon painted on the corner of her room. Sakura felt like she was shot from earth to outer space, but there was gravity and you could breath. "Wow," said Sakura, "Your room looks like outer space! It's so magical." Avery smiled, "Hmmm, thank you." Shawn came into her room, "Here's your cocoa Miss. Avery." Avery looked at him with mean eyes. She walked up to him and took the cocoa. She said, "Thanks Shawn, you can go now." He said, "All right Miss. Avery." Shawn left her bed room. Sakura noticed that Avery treated him differently, more like a stranger than anything else. "Avery," asked Sakura, "Why do you treat him like he's a stranger than your servant?" Avery looked down, "I'm sorry Sakura, It's just that I don't trust him. Ever since dad hired him, I never liked him. He's like your shadow that follows you everywhere." Sakura shuttered, "That must be freaky." "It is." told Avery. Sakura sat on Avery's bed, and Avery started to breath heavily. Sakura saw her clutching her chest, like if she was trying to breath. Sakura watched for about two seconds and asked if she was all right. "I'm okay Sakura, don't worry about me." said Avery. She became pale, and she was breathing heavily still. "Are you sure?" asked Sakura, "Do you want me to get your dad?" Avery smiled, "No, that's okay. I'm sure I'm fine now." Sakura was still worried about Avery. It had been going on for at least since the time Sakura and Avery met. Avery started to relax, but she still had a bit of trouble trying to breath, and Sakura kept asking if she was ure she didn't need her dad. ~~*Next Day*~~ Sakura and Madison were walking to school that morning and Avery usually met up with them by now, but she didn't arrive. Sakura and Madison started to get worried that she may have gotten hurt on the way to school, but once class started, Ms. Makenzie told the two that Avery had some more troubles breathing after Sakura had left, and that her dad sent her to the hospital. Sakura's eyes widened and Madison knew that after school, they were going to the hospital to see how Avery was doing. All during class, all Sakura could do was think about how Avery was doing. Thoughts flowed freely through her mind and question after question popped in her mind. Li started to get worried about Sakura. After school, Li ran up to Sakura and was going to the hospital with her. "I don't understand Li," started Sakura, "Why are you coming? I mean you and Avery don't even come close of getting along with one another." Li blushed a bit and said, "Listen, I'm only coming because even though Avery and I don't get along, I think we're good friends." Sakura nodded. When they got to the hospital, Avery was gone. Sakura started to get worried that she may have died. But when the nurse saw them at Avery's door, she told them that she went home at around 2:30, and hour before school ended. Sakura and Li started to head out to Avery's house, when they go there, it was Avery who opened the door. Sakura started to cry a bit and she threw her arms around Avery and cried small sobs. Avery didn't understand why Sakura was crying but then she understood that it was because Sakura cared for her. Avery invited Sakura and Li in and they sat at the kitchen table. When they got there, Avery handed them both a glass and poured some orange juice for them. Li asked, "So, Avery, are you feeling better?" "Yeah, not 100%, but yeah I am." was Avery's reply. Sakura said, "Madison was worried too, but she couldn't come. I was too." A smile came over Avery's face and she asked, "Really?" Sakura smiled back, "Yeah, your my best friend. And friends are always there for one another, no matter what." Avery smiled again. Li grinned and Avery knew Li saw her as his friend too, but she knew he couldn't admit it. Avery collapsed to the ground and Sakura got to her knees and got to Avery, Li was down too. A dark blue radiant covered Avery and Sakura got to her feet, they saw a form of a human and Li hollered, "It's the Spirit Card!" Sakura thought, 'Why couldn't I sense it? Could it be an element card?' Sakura held up the clow key and said, "Oh key of clow, power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force ignight, release! Light Card!" The light card was released and it surrounded the spirit card but spirit was too powerful and the light card went back to it's power confinement. Sakura released the shadow card and it finally beat the spirit card. "Spirit Card return to your power confinment!" comanded Sakura. Avery was unconcious and her father took her up to her room as he had just got home. About three days later, Avery was back on her feet, and she didn't have the problems that she had earlier on. No breathing problems, no having a spirit card take over her body. No problems with her health. ~~*THE END*~~
