A New Ally

Sakura thought, 'I wonder how many more card captors there are in the
world. The only one I know about is Li.' Kero asked, "Hey Sakura, what
are you thinking about?" Sakura answered, "Well, is it possible that
there are more than just 2 card captors in the world?" Kero shook his
head and said, "I don't think so. Unless there is and I'm not paying to
much attention to the world around me." Sakura snickered.

*** At school***

Li replied to Sakura's question, "No, not at all. If there was, I would
have known about it." Sakura frowned and said, "But it is possible that
there may be another card captor out there. I mean come on. It's
unlikely that there are only 2 card captors around the world." Li said,
"You may be right but there is no way that another card captor may be
out there." The school bell rang.

*** In school***

'Maybe Li's right. But maybe I'm right. I wonder." The teacher said,
"Today we have a new student. Her name is Avery Naromie." Sakura looked
at the young girl. She had brown hair that reached to the end of her
earlobes and a long braid that went past her shoulder. "She transferred
to us from America." told the teacher. Sakura looked at her and some of
the girls where laughing at Avery's hair style. Madison asked, "Could
she be a card captor?" Li answered for Sakura, "No. If she was, she's
supposed to have no braid like that." Sakura thought, 'She could be a
card captor. I hope she is.'

***At lunch***

Every one was playing soccer or eating lunch. Sakura thought, 'I wonder
where Avery is. I hope no one is picking on her.' Sakura wandered until
she saw Avery sitting near a bush eating her lunch. Sakura started to
walk up to where Avery was sitting but Chelsea stepped in front of her.
Chelsea said, "Don't go up to her!" Sakura was puzzled. Chelsea
continued, "Avery is very mean!" Sakura replied, "Huh?" Chelsea said,
"That's right. Avery transferred from 5 schools in America for fighting
but then came here because her dad wanted her out of trouble." Sakura
said, "Yeah right. She looks nice to me." Chelsea said, "She'll kick
your butt Sakura! Right Madison?" Madison rubbed the back of her head.
Sakura shook her head, "I'm going to find out for my self then to see
if she's mean." Chelsea said, "Don't!" Sakura walked up to Avery. Avery
turned around and asked, "What do you want?" Sakura said, "Hi! I'm
Sakura!" Avery smiled and said, "Oh, your the girl in my homeroom
aren't you? Here sit down." Sakura sat right down and asked, "Not to
bother you or anything but is it true that you got kicked out of 5
schools in america for fighting." Avery blushed and said, "Uh, yeah."
Sakura said, "Wow! That must take a lot of courage to transfer to
another school with that kind record." Avery said, "It is. Do you want
some of my lunch? I guess I made to much." Sakura's eyes flickered and
she replied, "Really?" Avery nodded. Sakura had 2 muffins and some
cookies. Chelsea said, "Huh? Avery's being friendly? She's baiting the
trap." Madison shook her head and said, "She seems nice to me." Madison
was now also talking to Avery and sharing her lunch.

*** After School***

Sakura asked Avery over to her house after school and Avery accepted.
Sakura and Avery where walking and Sakura asked, "Avery, do you have
any older brothers or sisters?" Avery nodded, "Yeah I have an older
brother who likes to race cars. He's really stuborn." Sakura smiled.
Avery asked, "What about you Sakura?" Sakura said, "I have an older
brother too. His name is Tori. What's your brothers name?" Avery said,
"Derek."

***In Sakura's room***

Avery was looking around when she saw Kero acting like a stuffed
animal. Sakura asked, "Where do you live Avery?" Avery replied, "Not
far from here. I live with my dad." Sakura asked, "What happened to
your mom?" Avery replied, "She died when I was born so I really don't
know much about her." Sakura looked down wishing she hadn't asked.
Avery looked at Sakura and smiled, "Don't worry, I don't get sad about
it anymore." Sakura looked up.

*** At 11:00 PM***

Madison phoned Sakura, telling her another card was loose in the city.
Sakura was prepared with the cat costume Madison made for her earlier.
She ran to the museum. It seemed as the card Ancient was there bringing
arifacts to life. Sakura was ready to battle and she ran into the
museum. Ancient looked at Sakura and sent an attck at her which she
dogged. Sakura thought, 'Where's Li when you need him?' Ancient sent
another blast at her but this time she couldn't dodge in time, but a
mysterious warrior saved her. They had a blue outfit, a lot like the
one that was yellow with wings but this one didn't have wings, but with
a different colour, and with yellow cuffs on, and they had a blue cape
with a yellow edge on the bottom, but their eyes were covered with blue
visors. Sakura had a blush on her face because she thought it was Li.
The warrior put Sakura down and said, "You better stay back." Sakura
stood behind and said, "Here use one of my cards." The warrior shook
their head. The warrior pulled out one of their own cards and said, "I
call upon the card follower, release from your prison and send this
card back to it's confinement! Release!" The warrior brought out their
staff that was in the shape of a heart with a star at the top and it
had a long golden staff at the bottom. They threw up the card from
their pocket and said, "Release!" The card was released and it looked
an awful lot like Shadow. Sakura gasped. Ancient was put back into it's
card form and the person said, "Here you have it. I have no use for
it." Sakura took the card and looked into the person's eyes. She saw
brown eyes that looked like Avery's and they also had the braid in
their hair and brown hair up to their earlobes. Sakura asked, "Avery?
Is that you?" Avery had a shocked look on her face. She said, "I guess
I gave myself away huh?" Sakura shook her head, "I didn't reconize you
at first but I guess you just have to look the person in the eye to
know who it is. Where did you get your clow cards Avery." Avery
replied, "Well, they where my mom's before she died and our ansestor,
clow reid made two sets of clow cards so he gave a set to my mom.. I
inherited them when I was 2." Sakura said, "So your not after these
ones?" Avery shook her head. Avery asked, "Sorry I didn't tell you, I
didn't know you were a card captor." Sakura replied, "It's O.K., did
you loose your mom clow cards too." Avery nodded, "Yeah, I learned of
the cards when I was 2 and I let them out when I was 5 by accident. I
got them all just 2 years ago." Sakura nodded, "Are you going to help
us?" Avery nodded and said, "Yeah, my mission right now is to find this
set of clow cards and return them to the rightful owner, which is you."
Sakura said, "Cool!!"

***Next Day at school***

Madison and Li replied, "You're a card captor Avery?" Avery nodded and
Sakura said, "Yeah she's here to help find the clow cards that I
accidently released." Li replied, "Impossible. Avery can't be an
ansetor of clow reid." Avery said, "Want a bet?" Li turned around and
saw Avery's fist in his face. Li said, "No, not any more."
