Author's Note: Hello. Still, no one has e-mailed me yet...even though, I still have a little voice inside of me that says I should keep going and make more fanfics than quit. But, I guess I will...after I finish all of these fanfics first...I hope you like it (if any one's ACTUALLY reading this...)!! Disclaimer: I don't own Cardcaptors! The Cards That *We* Capture: Chapter Three By: Akane (Kathngo1@Aol.com) *Sakura's POV* Finally, Li and I walked onto the side walk. It was a sunny and bright day. Not a cloud in the sky...it was perfect. Kero, who was 'chaperoning' us, (don't ask) came along eyeing us *very* suspiciously. You'd think that since he's the Gardian Beast, he wouldn't be weird...but really cool. But, Kero's weird. When Kero looks at you...it feels like a thousand eyes just peering at you everywhere! It was the first time I saw Li, anyway. (For practicily 4 years!) He looked pretty much the same, if it wasn't that he was taller and that he had a strong build. He's still pretty handsome, if you ask me. (AN: 0.o) We passed the playground and the zoo on our way...boy, were those memories that I'll never forget. I sighed. "What you thinking about?" Li asked. "Oh, just the card captors that I (we) made a long time ago...it's been so long, that I think I've gone rusty. It seems so quiet now that the cards are gone," I said with a laugh, "I forgot how much I liked the quietness around here...but there is such things as TOO much quiet." "I now what you mean...it feels like--it's just so strange for it to be so quiet now...when you look back at the captors long ago...they didn't seem *like us*. It was like, another person was there...not me." Li said, lossed in his own memories. I sighed. "You could say that I actually *miss* the cards..." I said. I turned to look at Li. "Wha?" he asked. I laughed, "I was kidding...but--still..." I was cut short, for Meilin was there with her boyfriend--Robert. (AN: Do we remember HIM?! Hahahaha!!) He's a pretty nice guy...a joker and very serious. I guess he's the one that pulls Mei down to earth. Not to mention she does too. "Hey Sacker! Li! Hey! Hi!" Meilin said running towards us, pulling Roberts arm. As soon as shereached Li, she introduced him to her boyfriend. "Li, this is Robert. Rob, this is Li," said Meilin. Li and Robert shook hands. "So, this is the guy Mei's (AN: My chinese name is Sum Mei. It means Beautiful Forest! Mei means beautiful!) been talkin' about! Hi! Glad to meet ya!" Robert said pulling out his hand. "Hi! It's good to meet you. I guess your a lucky guy to get to Meilin first," Li kidded. I rolled my eyes. "So, tell me Li, are you and Sakura REALLY together?," Robert asked. I was shocked and--well--red in the face. And Li...well...Li was red and ripe as a tomato. "Uhhh...no..of course not...I mean..." Li said, lost for words as I am. "Oh, okay." Robert said flashing one of his I-know-you-like-him-Sakura smiles. I shot him a look of death. Still, he smiled a I-know-that-you-REALLY-like him-now-Sakura smiles. I cried to him, "NO WAY!" Li looked at me strangly. I felt, again, abashed. Like I hurt his feelings or something. "So, tell me about these ClowCards..." Robert began. "What?! You know about the ClowCards?!" Li asked, shocked. "Yeah, of course. But, don't sweat it, Rob's on our side, right Rob?" Meilin asked looking at him with starry eyes. A bit scared, (I don't blame him) he replied, "O-oh course n-not...my Mei..." That sure satisfied her. "Well, you see Rob, Li and I had a dream...the same dream, too...and it was really weird. It was raining Clow Cards. I caught one and it turned out to be the Dream Card. I NEVER heard of the Dream Card!! Li hasn't either!" I said. "Maybe it's because it's a NEW kind of ClowCard...one that you can't sense..." Robert said, thinking deeply. "NO WAY! All the ClowCards have been captured!!" Kero said, jumping out of my backpack. Speaking right to Kero, Robert said, "I know...but what if this is just the beginning of a new Clow?" Kero stared at Rober for about a full minute. It was an eerie silence. All of a sudden, Robert had agoofy look on his face. "Why am I talking to a stuff animal?" Robert asked, all of a sudden, with a paninicked voice. "Oh, he's no stuff animal...he's just the gardian beast of the ClowCards..." I said waving my hand in front of his face. "Oh...okay..." Robert said, trying to take in he whole story. "Hey, you guys, we're here to shop, not talk about ClowCards! Let's just realax now!" Meilin said. I smiled. Meilin always had a gift of telling us to sit back and relax...even though Li and I are CardCaptors. "Mei's right! Let's get some *serious* shopping done!" I said. Robert rolled his eyes to Li. "You know what, I'm finally glad that there's another guy...now I don't have to be in the company of only *girls*," he said. Li smiled. "Hey! I heard that Mister!" Meilin said turning to him. Robert had an What-are-you-talking-about?-I'm-always-so-innocent look. "Nice try, Rob," Meilin said. We visited some shops and browsed around. It was pretty fun. At the last shop, I found an interesting outfit. It was a chinese outfit that looked really cute...it was green, too. I smiled. It looked almost like Li's CardCaptor outfit. Except that this was for a woman. A girl. It even had a cute hat with it too. It had two slits on the dress from seven inches below the thigh and down. On the chest of the outfit there was a sign. Just like Li's. Cool. Maybe if there *is* another type of Clow, I'll wear that and see Li's reaction. Hmmm...sounds interesting, since he's always critizing about MY powers and tastes. I'd like to see his reaction when I wear THIS. I took the outfit and placed it on the counter. A very fimiliar friend of mine came out. It was Madison. "Hey, Madison! What are you doing here?" I asked. "Well, duh! I'm a costume designer! I was the person who made your CardCaptor costumes, right? Of course! I always hoped that you would come in here someday! And wow! You know what? I made that one *Madison motions to the outfit* with you in my mind and one of your capters!!" Madison said with a laugh. "Wow! Cool! Okay, how much for it, Madison?" I asked, taking out my wallet. "Oh, c'mon Sakura! I'm one of your bestest friends! For you, it's FREE!" Madison said. "What?! No way! I-I can't except such a gift! I--" I began. "Sakura! You're one my bestest friends! And, yes, you WILL except it!" said Madison, pushing the bundle into my arms. I couldn't! "Sakura! It's time to go!" Meilin said. I looked at Madison. Great. NO WAY can I accept this!! Madison was one of my bestest friends..."You better go! Here, I'll go wrap it for ya!" Madison said, going behind the back of the shop. A few seconds later, she handed me a brown bundle. "Madison...Thank you! You're the best! I don't know how to thank you!" I said, tears forming my eyes. "You can thank me by knockin' Li out with that outfit!" Madison said. I was confused. What was THAT suposed to mean? After I said good-bye to Madison, I exited the shop. "Whatcha got there?" Li asked. "Oh, nothing much..." I said with a smile. Li looked a bit confused and lifted a skeptical eyebrow. I smiled. He blushed a bit, turning his head away from me. I asked Meilin, "Where are we going?" "Oh, I donno...maybe grab some lunch..." Meilin said thinking. "WHOOHOO!! LUNCH! YEA!!" Kero said, once again, popping outta my backpack. Meilin, Li, Robert and I, in one voice whispered, "SHHH!!!" "Oops..." Kero said, sadly sinking back into my backpack. We walked around trying to find a nice place to eat. We finally stopped in front of a casual caf'e. As we sat down, I began to wonder about things. "Li, what school are you staying at?" I asked. "Huh? Oh, Jacon High. (AN: I made the name up! I donno what high schools there are! Sorry!) I'm starting tomorrow," Li replied. "Really?! That's where I go!" I exclaimed, excitedly. Li asked, "You do?" "Yeah! Did you get your uniform yet?" I asked. "Uniform? What uniform?" Li asked. "Uhhh...the uniform that I had on when you saw me at the airport? That one except that it's made for a guy..." I said, trying NOT to confuse him (if you know what I mean). "Oh. Not yet. I don't even know where or when I'll get it..." Li said. "Well, you get it in the office; inside the school attendence room," Robert said, poking the meatballs on his spegetti and meatballs. To Robert, they pretty much looked liked worms and bugballs. Ewe. Li took a glance at Robert's 'lunch'. "Ew! What the heck IS that?!" Li asked, moving away from Robert. (AN: More like Rob's lunch!!) "You tell me!!" Robert said, gesturing his hands to the meal. 'Robert. You can just throw it away before the rest of us loose our lunch!" I suggested. "Or, you can shove it into you mouth and shut up!" Meilin added. At once, Robert picked up the meal and threw it into the trash. "Thank god,... my stomach is saved!" Robert said, heaving a sigh. "So, Sakura, what do ya want to do now?" Meilin asked. "Huh? Oh, I don't know...how about going to the park?!" I suggested. It was a place where you can get a boat and ride on the lake! REALLY fun. "Alright! Let's get going then!" Meilin said, running ahead. "Hey! Wait for meeee!!" I said. Li went, ""Hey!! *Li trips over the chair* OW!! Ugh God! Oww!! *Li jumps around a couple of times holding his foot* Ow ow ow ow ow ow...!! What is it with this chair?!" I think Robert was left alone...again. Kero..well, we left him at the resteraunt I guess...but he can find his way back home. *** At the Park*** "Whooohooooo!!!" Meilin said as we reached there. "Okay, let's rent a boat!" Meilin said. "Wait...there's only two to a boats to rent...Meilin and I will go together and you and Sakura will go together! Is it okay with you guys? Robert asked. "What?!" Li whispered sharply. "Uhhh...o...okay...I guess..." I murmured. This has GOT to be a set-up. As we were boarding our boat, I offered Li, "I can row the boat if you want me to you know..." "Uhhh...no...it's okay. I can do it," Li replied as we steped inside of the small, white boat. First, Meilin and Robert cast away. Meilin was all smiles. I heard her exclaim, "Wow! This is going to be soooo romantice...!" What? Oh well. Maybe. Whitout further ado, Li and I casted off into the middle of the lake. It was in the evening and the sun was beginning to set. A beautiful sight... We began to drift into an awed silence as we watched the sun solwly melting into the high purple mountains in the far-off distant. Everything was quiet as we noticed that the sky turned from a beautiful shade of pink, purple, and firey orange, into a pitch black one. The stars were so perfect and everything was quiet and still...the moon was out in a beautiful crescent...'A perfect time for a kiss!' I thought. 'What?! With who?' I fought back. 'With Li...' I thought. (More like realized!) I turned to see what was Li's reaction to all of this. I figured out that maybe he had seen this all the time and wouldn't be a bit impressed, but impatient to getmoving along. I was wrong. He was completely awed by the sight as if it was the first time he ever saw anthing like it. I smiled. Luckly, it was hidden in the dark. Just what I like...a guy that apreciates sceanery...I always wondered if we would go out on a --*SHOCK!!*Electricity ran through me. "What was THAT?!" I asked, sharply. "What was what?" Li asked, looking around intently. "I sensed something. Something fast...it's here..." I said seriously. I began to feel a strong current-- a sudden change from the soft waves that the lake was used to. It began to rock the boat. Li looked around, trying to find it. "Li, I sense something--something is out there---*GASP!* it's heading for Mei and Rob's boat!" I said, poiting to the heart-stopping flash of water going DIRECTLY to Mei's boat. (AN: I like to call Meilin, Mei. It means 'beautiful' in chinese!!) "Oh no!" I said as I saw their boat scompletely turning upside down into the water. "It's okay! We're okay! We're going to shore now! Watch out!" Meiling said, waving to us. *SLAM!* "Whoa--Agh!" I yet out a girlish squeal. (Hey, you can't blame me!) " ARGH!" Li said, holding the sides of the boat. "Where is it?!" I asked. "I'm looking! I donno! It's pretty fast and--Whoa!!" *CLAS!* Another hit. I screamed. Whatever was out there knew that Li and I had magic. "Where is it?!" I asked again. "Hey--I'm looking! I'm looking!" Li said, looking all around us. "Where is--!!" I asked--again but Li cut me off through gritted teeth, "HEY, you're NOT helping!" I saw a quick movement in water. "Uhh...Li?" I asked, tapping his shoulder. The movement was comming closer. "Li! Liii!" I said, shaking him quickly. "What is it?!" he asked. I pointed it out for him. "Holy peice of crap...what is--?!" *BAM!* I screamed and sat down, grasping the boat. My senses were tingling. My thoughts---planning. I finally got it. "Li! The 'card' moves underwater! Maybe if we--or I-- can jump into the lake, we'll see what it is and deal with it!" I said. "No WAY! It's too dangerous! Whatever's in there--!!" Li started. "Whatever's in there has GOT to be stopped! I'm going!" I said, getting ready to jump. As I leaned forward, I felt a tug on my wrist. "I won't let you!! No way! Un-uh! Too dangerous!" Li said, shaking his head. I smiled, "So what are we going to do?! Just sit here all day and drink tea waiting for the cards' next move?! C'mon! We're CardCaptors!! It's our JOB!!!" Li stared at me. "You gotta point" Li said, grinning. I smiled. "C'mon! Ler's show this card how the CardCaptors do their stuff!" Li said. "Uhhh...Li..." I said. "Liii...umm...Liii...Uhhh...LIIIII...LIIIII...I think we're in trouble..." I said, panicking. Li turned around saying, "What is--whoa! What the--but HOW?!" There it was...the 'card'. _____________________________________________ The End. Just kidding!! You know why I leave just at the darnest part? 'Cause I run outta ideas...*sweatdrop* Like it?Hate it?
