70. Sakura and Her True Feelings
Sakura is at her desk, thinking of the time Syaoran told her he loved her. When Tomoyo arrives and greets her, but Sakura doesn't notice right away. Syaoran enters the room quietly and when he says good morning to Sakura, she blushes, looks away, and replies the same. Class begins and Terada-sensei tells them that Eriol was moving back to England the next day. The three of them, along with Kero, decide to go visit him after school. When they reach Eriol's home, Sakura can sense Clow's aura as they walk through the dark hallway and Kero remembers living in that house with Clow and Yue in the past. Kero couldn't remember before because his memories had been blocked. Sakura remembers Eriol had said it was all over now and perhaps this was why Kero could now remember.
Reaching a pair of closed doors, Sakura pauses for a moment and then the doors open. Sakura steps in, and an explosion of confetti occurs, raining over her. Nakuru greets her, along with a table set up with food and drinks, where Eriol is sitting at the head. Nakuru invites them in, although Kero is suspicious and demands to know everything that has happened. Eriol says they can talk while they eat and says that it's all over. Sakura asks Eriol what he meant by that and replied that all of the Clow Cards had turned into Sakura Cards. He explained the cards had to be under a new mistress, otherwise they would just turn into ordinary cards. But because Sakura's magic was at an early stage, it was dangerous for her to change the cards for no reason, which is why he created situations where she would need to change them.
Eriol continues, saying as Clow's reincarnation, he was helping him out. Sakura then remembers when Clow had told her after the final judgment that he might be trouble for her later on. Kero asks why he hadn't told Sakura and both Spinel and Nakuru answer that if Sakura had known, she might not have tried her very best. Sakura asks Eriol if he predicted everything would happen as it did and Eriol said some things didn't happen as he and Clow had thought. However, he did not tell Sakura what they were. Meanwhile, Kero was stuffing food into Spinel's mouth. Eriol gets up from the table, stating they have another guest and opens the door to reveal Kaho. Kaho and Eriol knew each other because they met at a university in England. He had told Kaho he was the reincarnation and she decided to help out, which was why she had the bell created by Clow. During this time, Spinel has turned into his drunken state.
Eriol gets up again and says he's going to get more food and goes outside. Yue is standing by the window. He asks Eriol again why he had decided a new mistress for him and Cerberus when he knew he would be reborn. Eriol replies by saying he is not Clow and Clow no longer exist in the world, which is why they were given to Sakura. He tells Yue that if he wants, he could visit him and they could talk about Clow. Then he says he's glad he was able to meet Sakura and all of them and was surprised that one of his and Clow's predictions had been incorrect. They had thought Yukito, Yue's false form, would fall in love with Sakura, but his heart had chosen another and so had Sakura's.
Later that night, Syaoran gets a call from his mother and he tells her about the Clow Cards. In school the next day, Chiharu mentions to Rika and Naoko that Takashi hadn't told any lies since Eriol left and adds on that Sakura seems depressed. After school, Syaoran asks to speak with Sakura and he tells her that he was glad to have met her and that she had changed him. Sakura argues that he wasn't as bad as he had said, but Syaoran interrupts her and said that was all he wanted to say. He runs off afterward, leaving Sakura alone. She begins to wonder how she really feels about Syaoran. At the Kinomoto residence, Yukito and Touya are working in the kitchen and Yukito mentions that Kaho had returned. Touya said she knew everything and that it was all Clow's fault. But Yukito objects, saying that if Clow hadn't created Yue, he would never have existed and met Touya and Sakura.
Sakura returns home and goes up to her room without saying anything, leaving both Touya and Yukito concerned and worried. Kero is worried about her, too, when she enters her room. Sakura plops down on her bed, her head in her arms, tears spilling. She keeps thinking of how Syaoran told her he loved her. She knew she loved him, too, and wondered if it was the same. She noticed the feelings she had for Syaoran were different from her feelings for Yukito. At the Li residence the next morning, Syaoran is talking to Meiling and Meiling asks if he had told Sakura. He said yes but she hadn't replied. Meiling gets angry because Syaoran wasn't waiting for her answer. Wei tells him it is time to leave and when Syaoran gets up, he glances at the bear he made, then turns and leaves.
Back at the Kinomoto residence, Fujitaka notices Sakura doesn't look very well as she goes to answer the phone. It's Tomoyo, at a choir competition. Tomoyo tells her that Terada-sensei had said Syaoran was leaving in a few hours, back to Hong Kong, and wasn't going back to school. Sakura is in shock as she walks back to her room and as the reality sinks in that he was leaving, she realizes she doesn't want him to leave. A tear falls and her magic circle glows underneath her. A Sakura Card forms, with a picture of a heart with wings, yet nameless. She smiles and holds it close, now knowing her true feelings. At the airport, Syaoran is about to leave when he hears someone calling him. Sakura runs toward him, breathless. They stare at each other and Sakura tries to find the words to tell him. Then Syaoran takes the bear he made from Wei, who was holding it for him, and gives it to her. She takes the bear and they both smile and blush. She asks if she'll ever see him again and he continues to smile and nods.
