37/68. Sakura's Return to the Past
Eli is sitting at a desk, writing a letter. Spinner, after calling him to dinner, joins his master. Ruby interrupts them but runs to the window when snow begins to fall. Eli remembers something from his life as Clow.
Sakura is at school, being chased by a snowman. Keroberos can't help her because he's stuck in a snowball and Yue is kept away by a barrier around the school. Eli and his guardians watch her as usual. Sakura continues to get pelted by snow and a snowman is built over her. She changes and uses the Snow card and it destroys the snowmen. Everyone rejoins her after to see if she's all right.
She can't sleep that night and Kero asks her if she's okay, trying to comfort her. He tells her about the time Clow died. Later, Sakura tells Li and Madison that she wants to use the Return card. Li immediately objects to this. Unbeknownst to all, Eli is listening in. All of them go to the cherry tree at the shrine. The moment she uses Return, the tree suddenly blooms and she disappears.
Awakening in a garden, Sakura looks around and sees Keroberos and Yue. Keroberos is looking at a tree. TO her surprise, Clow joins Sakura and signals her to be silent. Clow uses the Flower Card and the tree blooms. Sakura watches them from afar. She wakes up again, still in Clow's company, and they both talk.
But, she suddenly finds herself first running toward Clow, then running down a hall. She sees Clow sitting in Eli's chair and he's dying. Yue and Keroberos are both there. He tells them that Yue will become the judge and Keroberos will choose the candidate. Clow's final wish was for them to be happy. Sakura returns to the future and Li and Madison run to her. Li realizes that Kero and Yue's memories were altered.
