35/65. The Vanishing Act
On her way home with the groceries, Sakura hears Tori's voice. He's confronting Julian about something. Sakura rushes over to interrupt when she finds that she has wandered into a movie shoot for class. Ruby is the director and she asks Sakura to be in the movie. At the Avalon residence later on, Julian is about to drink his tea and suddenly gets really tried. Tori says that he does know who Julian really is. He leaves to go get cookies. Sakura sees Julian starting to disappear and she thinks she just imagined it. Eli tells Ruby that she may use their home and Ruby's happy about that. Spinner warns Eli about Tori but Eli says he wants to study Tori and Julian.
As a director, Ruby is very bossy. When the other high school girls see Sakura, they say she's very cute. When Tori sees Eli, he gets a little worried. Eli watches Tori when the latter is occupied with other things. Sakura is finished her scene and she, Madison, Li, and Eli watch the filming of the final scene on the balcony. Eli leaves, chuckling to himself. When the scene begins, Julian starts to disappear again and falls over the balcony, unconscious. Tori grabs his hand and hangs on, but Julian's hand disappears and he falls. Sakura releases Windy and it catches him. Tori jumps down to the ground and sees Julian disappearing again.
Eli lets Tori and Julian borrow a spare room. Ruby bursts in but Tori pushes her out. Tori tells Julian that he's not an ordinary human and Julian transforms into Yue. As well, he offers to give him all his powers, for Julian, and asks Yue to take care of Sakura. When Tori gives them up, he falls asleep and Yue feels his power returning. He forces the door open and Sakura's there. She's sad that she wasn't strong enough to take care of Yue. The guardian softens and says it's okay. Eli is watching the scene from outside. Sakura senses Clow and pulls back the drapes. No one is there. Eli is sitting on the rooftop.
The film is being played for the high school classes and Sakura, Madison, Li, and Eli watch as well. Tori and Julian are watching from a separate, adjoining room and Julian says Yue told him everything. Tori tells him he trusts both of them. Later on, Sakura and Julian are walking through a room filled with blue stars when the stars suddenly burst. Li senses something and goes into the rooms. Ruby's watching him go.
Yue protects Sakura and he says that he knows it's Clow. Sakura changes the Illusion and Maze Cards to create a new "room". Other visitors are entranced by this but it makes it harder for Sakura. He releases his sword. Sakura senses the power again and runs toward it. Yue follows but loses her. Sakura reaches a doorway and throws back a curtain, seeing Eli. Eli smiles at her and activates his staff. Sakura goes unconscious, falling backwards, but Eli catches her. He says she has become stronger. Maze and Illusion disappear and return as cards. The two cards fly back to Sakura. Yue and Li see the cards and Yue says she has been overpowered, making Li worried. Outside, Li tells Sakura to wake up. She's lying against a tree trunk and doesn't remember anything. Ruby and Eli are watching and things are going as Eli planned.
