29/58. Double Trouble
Madison is taping Sakura as the latter attempts to look for what she had felt earlier, but what Sakura sensed before is now gone. When nothing happens and it starts to rain, they all hurry home. Yue pauses and glances at a tree. Eli and his guardians are watching them leave. Outside Sakura's home, Kero tries to transform and, Sakura sensing something again, fails. Yue does the same and also finds he cannot transform back. Eli it on the rooftop now, still watching them.
Sakura sneaks into the house, sees Tori watching tv, then quickly goes to her room and opens the window. Kero tries going in but can't seem to move no matter how Sakura pulls him until Yue mentions he'd need to fold up his wings. The Card Mistress dries her hair as she stands in thought. No matter how many times Kero tries to transform, he can't and starts yelling. Tori opens the door, asking who was inside, forcing Kero and Yue to both stand on her bed, against the wall so they'd be out of his sight. Sakura tells him it's no one and he finally leaves.
Without being able to change, both guardians sleep in their mistress' room still in their true form that night. The next day, after waking, neither guardians are able to change back. Aiden calls Sakura down for breakfast and she says goodbye to him when he leaves. Sakura asks Kero to help out who says he will provided that Yue did, too. However, Sakura only told Yue to make himself comfortable, to Kero's annoyance. Eli and his guardians are observing them and Ruby makes fun of Sakura's guardians. When Spinner asks her why she didn't do any work herself, Ruby's only reply is that she's a warrior. Sakura is vacuuming when a deliveryman calls. He hears Kero yelling about the dishes and Sakura is left to cover, saying it's only her brother. He gives her a box and tells her to put it in the fridge.
Following this, both she and Kero do various chores but the latter is still annoyed whenever he sees Yue not doing anything. He says it's the same as back with Clow and picks up a bag of flour to throw at him. Sakura stops him and Kero ends up being covered in flour. To clean him up, Sakura changes and uses Bubble. When she leaves him there, Kero starts to sing in the bath. Back in the kitchen, the floor is shining clean, although Yue is in the exact same place as before. Sakura takes out the package from earlier and finds out it's a crab. At seeing that, she gets an idea.
They all gather in the living room and Sakura uses Shield to cover the guardians. This time, they're able to transform back into their borrowed forms. They succeed this time and Kero has to go hide immediately as Julian wakes up, confused. Eli says that Sakura is very resourceful. That night, Kero is happily eating crabcakes and remembers that there's only one person who can stop him and Yue. That person was Clow. He thought the only power left was in the cards but now that might not be the only thing.
