49. The Dangerous Piano
Early in the morning, Sakura's in bed, too tired to get up. Both Aiden and Tri are concerned by this. When Sakura asks to stay home, Aiden lets her, and she falls back asleep. Both father and son agree to come home earlier. Kero tries talking to Sakura but she's still too tired. The Sakura Book glows and Firey floats out as Kero watches.
Tori's in class when Julian enters with a huge bag of food. He tries to tell Julian something and is interrupted by cheers from outside. Ruby just singlehandedly beat the basketball team with a slam dunk, like Julian did once. Back at home, Sakura finally wakes up and notices that it's late. She hears a doorbell and sees Li and Madison. They both go up to Sakura's room and have snacks together. Sakura is actually tired because she had used her own powers.
The next day, Sakura is writing to Miss Mackenzie all about what happened. When she hears music playing in school, she goes to take a look and finds out Eli plays piano. Sakura leans on the windowsill and listens. She compliments him at one point and Eli continues playing as Madison joins them and listens with Sakura. While playing, Eli puts magic into the piano.
After school, Sakura and Li are walking down the school hallway when they hear Madison singing. Suddenly, there's a huge crash and they hear her scream. They run to the music room and the piano moves toward them. Sakura's thoughts fly to Clow and the piano goes after Madison. Li tried stopping it with one of his lightning incantation papers. Nothing works.
Madison begins to sing and the piano awakens, flying toward the sound. She's singing on the school's rooftop. They hear the piano approaching and Sakura changes and uses the Song Card. Madison is still singing and then the Song continues by itself. All of them move away. The piano crashes through the fence and lies smashed up on the ground. Sakura falls backwards, tired, and Li catches her. Eli and his magical duo are watching from the rooftop. He smiles.
