40. Dream a Little Dream
Meilin drags Li to look at stuff while Sakura and Madison follow behind them. The quartet are downtown for the day. Kero suddenly pops out of Sakura's bad and she stuffs him back in. Meilin hurries them and they continue walking. A little blue butterfly is seen following them. They go tour and shop around, and also take sticker photos. While deciding where to go next, Meilin suggests movies, but Kero pops out again and says he wants to try a game. Since he can't play, he begs Sakura to play for him. The game is to hit pop-up dolls with a hammer. They watch as Sakura plays, as Madison tapes and Meilin cheers. However, Sakura becomes rather overwhelmed.
Meilin decides to help Sakura out. They both work on it together. Madison gets too close while taping and Meilin accidentally hits her with the hammer. While on the train, the butterfly is still present. Sakura sees the radio tower and Li asks if something is wrong. Sakura says she always has a strange dream with that tower in it. Remembering her dream, she tells Li about it and says Li was also in it. Li turns red. The butterfly is watching them and follows them as they leave. For a moment, an image of the Dream Card flashes.
At the radio tower, Sakura runs in ahead of the others and feels something strange. But no one else does. They all head up to the observation deck and check out the view of the city. Kero is floating around and Sakura grabs him. He says it's okay because there's no one there. He asks if she senses anything and Sakura says it's like her dream. When they go for drinks, Sakura sees Tori, who's working for his part time. Julian gives her a drink; he's also working. Kero pops out of Sakura's bag and wonders where's his drink. Kero says hi and Julian says hi Kero. Sakura is in shock. Tori says he needs Julian's help and Kero greets him, too. Sakura wonders what's going on and Kero tells her it's a dream.
In a rush of cherry blossom petals, everything disappears and Sakura plunges into darkness. Sakura wakes up and sees herself and Kero on a rooftop. Then she sees Miss Mackenzie clearly for the first time. She tries to call them but they don't hear her. The other Sakura joins hands with her and says it'll be just fine. Sakura understands and the other Sakura disappears. She remembers the very beginning as a Cardcaptor to the present. Suddenly she hears Li calling her.
Sakura wakes up and finds herself supported by Li. Li activated the Time Card so Madison and Meilin are frozen. The Dream Card is trapped under Sakura's foot. Sakura releases her staff and seals the card. The card goes to Li and he collapses. Sakura apologizes for everything. It turns out when she ran into the tower, she instantly fell asleep and Li caught her before she fell. Kero says she should pay more attention to the Dream Card's dreams because they are predictions. Sakura looks up at the radio tower. Elsewhere, Miss Mackenzie is standing on a rooftop, watching.
