The cheerleaders are having a practice. Chelsea asks Nikki and Sakura about a quiz tournament. Only partners are allowed to enter and she's going with Zachary. When the three girls return to the practice, Sakura is thinking of asking Madison to go with her, but she loses concentration and the baton drops on her head. Later on, Sakura and all her friends are walking when they see a sign for the tournament. Sakura asks Madison to go but Julian asks if he can go with her. At the Avalon residence, they're discussing the game. Tori has to work so he won't be participating. Kero is in Sakura's room, quietly watching the night sky. The Clow book glows and floats to his side. He's worried about his power and Yue.

The next day, at the tournament, Chelsea and Zachary are waiting, along with a big crowd. Sakura joins them and they see Li and Meilin. Meilin is being very competitive. Julian meets up with them, but he's a little late. He hurries to go sign up and Meilin and Chelsea go as well. Nikki and Rika are there, cheering them on, and Madison is taping everything. The quiz tournament starts as the announcer gives the instructions. There are ten different quizzes that they must complete successfully. Then, and only then must they find a carving of the town flower. Zachary is very confident. Sakura and Julian go to the first booth and they see Tori. He's working there today. Julian solves the puzzle easily and the duo continue on. Meilin drags Li into the booth and he and Tori glare at each other. Meilin tries to answer it but she keeps getting the wrong answer it.

For the whole day, Julian and Sakura run from booth to booth, successfully solving the puzzles. When they reach the last one, they find out Miss Mackenzie is watching that booth. They also meet up with Chelsea and Zachary, both confident of winning. Sakura is happy for them. After they leave, Sakura and Julian are asked to do rock, paper, scissors, to see who would be the one to answer the question. Sakura has to answer it and Julian encourages her. Julian and Miss Mackenzie stand away, watching as Sakura tries to figure out the solution. Miss Mackenzie starts to say she knows who Julian is but is interrupted by Sakura who has solved the problem. As the pair start to leave, Miss Mackenzie warns Sakura to be careful because there was going to be a full moon that night.

Madison is waiting for them and as she's taping Sakura, she sees Sakura is worried. When asked what's wrong, Sakura smiles and says it's nothing. Julian and Sakura hurry off to go find the carving in Penguin Park. They go deep into the woods until they reach a cliff side. Sakura looks up and sees the full moon, although it is still day. She's completely mesmerized by it and remembers Miss Mackenzie's warning. She also remembers the recurring dream she has been having for months. Her eyes close and she falls off the cliff. Julian dives after her and holds her in his arms as they fall. Kero is in their room, still watching the moon and thinking of Sakura. Miss Mackenzie is also watching the moon.

Sakura wakes up and sees the moon again. She finds herself covered by Julian's jacket. She remembers falling off the cliff. Julian asks if she's okay and she says she is. He tries to get up but falls. His leg is injured from the fall. Sakura says she's sorry, that it was all her fault. Julian shows her the carving that he found before they fell. Meanwhile, everyone else is worried and Madison's bodyguard tells her they couldn't find them. However, Meilin is still trying to solve the same puzzle from earlier. Tori goes to find them and Li follows. They see Julian limping and Sakura helping him walk. Julian lets go of Sakura but falls. Tori catches him. All of Sakura's friends runs up to meet them. Tori gives Sakura a pen for a consolation prize. Julian gets one, too. Sakura smiles happily at Julian, then looks up at the moon with a worried look.
