23. Practice Makes Perfect

Sakura gets to school and mentions to Madison that Kero thought he sensed another Clow Card, but made a mistake instead. Li, listening in, interrupts, glaring at Sakura. She wishes Li would just give her a break. Madison says that he's been rather competitive and Li retorts by saying because he was a direct descendant. Meilin joins them afterward and they learn Madison is in a singing competition. Everyone wants to go and watch her. Meilin says she's a good singer and Madison asks her to join the chorus. Meiling responds by saying that she's too busy helping Li. Nikki suddenly rushes up to them and asked if they heard about the ghost in the music room. Sakura is definitely not happy. Nikki says there was a girl that went to the music room and heard someone singing.

Everyone is in music class and their teacher is playing the piano. Sakura wonders about the ghost, when she suddenly senses something. Li asked if she noticed it; that something was in the room. Meilin asks if there was a Clow Card and Sakura hoped it wasn't a ghost. Li planned to return that night and find out. Sakura tells Kero after she goes home and Kero said it was probably a ghost. Sakura gets scared but Kero said it also could be a Clow Card. Kero says they should go. Sakura's afraid of ghosts and Kero calls her a chicken. The former makes a quick exit by saying she'll get more tea, walks downstairs, and sighs. Later, Sakura is pouring tea for Tori and Julian. Tori asked her about the ghost and Sakura gets scared again. Aiden entered the room and asked about it, Tori giving him an explanation. Julian heard it had a beautiful voice and wanted to hear it.

Sakura runs up to her room, now determined to go. Kero asks about the sudden change and Sakura tells him that Julian wanted to hear the voice. Sakura finally gets to school, still afraid. Madison is taping as usual, when they hear a noise. Li and Meilin join them and both Sakura and Li sense something. They now hear someone singing. Meilin rushes off, Li on her tail. The others follow them, close behind. Madison pauses, for she recognizes the song. Sakura tries to back out as they near the sound. Kero tells her not to because it was definitely a Clow Card. They walk toward the room and Madison is quite sure she heard the song before. Li says it's coming from the music room and when they reach it, Sakura recognizes the song, too.

Meilin, rather impatient, throws open the door and a huge gust of wind follows. The wind stops, but so has the song. Sakura said it was the song Madison was singing. The song starts again from a different direction and they follow it to the top floor. Sakura says the card also sounds like Madison. Li tells them it's the Song Card, interruption Kero who was about to do the same. Kero says that Song copies the best singer. Meilin claims to have the best voice and Kero retorts that using her voice would deface the cards. Meiling gets angry, of course, and yells. The card stops singing again and all of them go to the roof of the school. The song starts up once again. They can't see it because it's invisible to the eye. Kero asks Madison to sing her song perfectly. Only that can weaken the Song Card. Madison isn't sure, however. When Meilin volunteers to do it, Kero tells her that she'd better be the back up.

Sakura encourages Madison to sing and Madison finally agrees. She stands in the center of the roof and begins to sing. The Song Card starts to appear. Meiling exclaims when she sees it, but Li shushes her. The Song starts to sing along now and everyone is entranced by the song. After the Song completely appears, Sakura seals it. Of course, Madison is taping what she can and Sakura gets the card. Sakura tells Madison that she sung perfectly and then thanked Li for his help. Meilin says she could have done better while Kero compliments Madison. Sakura brought a tape recorder along because she wanted to get the song for Julian and was disappointed she couldn't tape it. Kero tells her to get Madison. Sakura wanted both Song and Madison. Li tells her to write her name on the card and command it to sing. Sakura writes her name on the card, Kero's stationed at the tape recorder, and Li and Meilin are sitting down and watching. Sakura releases the Song and it sings another duet with Madison.
