22. No Time for Sleep
An alarm rings and Aiden rushes out of his room and into the kitchen. He sees Sakura and Tori preparing breakfast for him, even though it was his turn to do it. Later, Sakura and Madison are at the bookstore and Sakura tells her friend that she and Tori were getting along for their dad because he was really busy. There, they run into Julian who was picking up a book for her father. At night, Aiden is working at home on a history lecture. He teaches anthropology.
The next day, Sakura is going to go visit her father in the university. Madison and Kero go along with her. While there, they get sort of lost until three university students help him out. The girl points out Sakura's father's class. Professor Aiden's classes are very popular and those three students are his assistants. They leave, since he's in the middle of a class. A sparkle is seen after.
In a little office, Aiden is working on his laptop amidst piles of books. Everyone visits him, then the three students leave to do their own work. The sparkles appear again and Aiden falls asleep, only to wake up a few moments later. Sakura really wants to help her father and Madison suggests getting everyone coffee. When the two girls bring it to the three students, a figure appears, sparkles following. The two guys fall asleep and the girl does shortly after. Kero tells them it's the Sleep Card. Sleep affects Madison, who falls asleep. Then it flies at Sakura, who avoids it with Jump and Sleep flies away.
Sakura chases Sleep and it goes into her father's workroom. Kero is affected next and Sakura sends out Windy. The papers in the room fly everywhere while Windy captures Sleep and Sakura seals it. She lands on a pile of papers and falls, breaking the laptop's screen, and the books and papers are scattered in a mess. Kero wakes up and sees the mess and Sakura isn't moving from her spot. Aiden walks in and sees the mess, then asks her what was wrong without getting angry. Sakura explains through her tears. Aiden tells her it's not her fault.
Later that night, Sakura's in bed but she can't sleep. The next morning, she gets up early, to Tori's surprise. They suddenly hear a crash and find Aiden in his mini-office, lying in a heap of books. Sakura starts to help him clean up but Aiden says she doesn't have to. She starts to cry, feeling awful for ruining her father's previous work and wants to help him. Aiden, a smile on his face, says he does need an assistant. Sakura cheers up, throws him a hug and says she'll be the best assistant.
