2/12. Time and Again
Aiden is giving a archaeology lecture at Sakura's school and Li, completely awestruck, goes to talk to Aiden after the lecture. Upon finding out that he was Sakura's father, he glares angrily at her. Later that night, long after Sakura and Kero had gone to sleep, they are awoken by the sound of a bell ringing outside, and are puzzled about why it's sounding. The following morning, Sakura is late again and worrying about her music test while Kero freaks out, finding out his game has no data.
Sakura's in music class and as she's taking her test, she forgets part of it while she's playing. Li was practicing for his test quietly by his desk. While Sakura is outside with Madison, talking about the test, there's a soccer game going beside them. They also see Li walking and playing his recorder at the same time. A soccer ball hurtles toward him but he manages to hit kick it away, as well as score a goal at the same time. Everyone gives him a standing ovation.
After dinnertime, the Sakura, Tori, and their father were sitting together, discussing their tests. Aiden advised Sakura to just practice more, which she does afterward, despite the test being over. Kero is playing his game while she practices and saves his game. When Sakura is finished playing the song perfectly, she goes to bed. As time approaches midnight, the bell rings and all the clocks go backward. Needless to say, Kero was shocked that his game had no data once again the next morning. As like before, Sakura is late for school and rushes off. When she meets up with Madison, the latter asked her if she was ready for their music test. Sakura is confused, knowing she already took her test. In music class, she doesn't understand why everything seems exactly as it was the day before. Even Madison's advice was the same. Sakura plays fine this time and Li's expression looks suspicious. After class, Sakura asks Madison about feeling a deja vu and how ever the soccer game going on next to them is the exact same. Li approaches them and explains his suspicions to her, of the day that keeps repeating. He tells her there's a Clow Card in the clock tower. When the ball comes him way again, Li easily shoots it into the goal.
At about six, Sakura is with Madison again, all set in a new battle costume. Accompanied by Kero, she uses Fly to move toward the tower and can already sense the card. Time Card slows down the time, interfering with its flow. By making a time slip, it pushes them back. On their second attempt, it speeds time up and once the clock struck midnight, the day begins all over again. The "next" night, Sakura, Kero, and Madison are outside the clock tower again. Li joins them this time, with a bandaid affixed on his nose; he was hit by the ball this time, though it still went into the goal. Li tells them they have to destroy the tower and everyone protests. Sakura chooses to sneak into the tower. Li is on another roof and uses a rope to climb it. Time is sitting quietly on a spoke and stopped time the moment Sakura tried to capture it. However, when Li jumped through the window, he distracted it and Sakura used Shield to protect everyone. As Time tried to flee, it was caught in Li's trap and Sakura sealed it. To her disappointment, the one to get the card was Li.
The next day, Sakura brings her recorder to school again, just in case. Madison reminds Sakura that they have a spelling test this time, rather than a music one, and Sakura freaks out.
