4/9. Double Edged Sword
At school in the morning, Sakura remembers about Li and the capture of the Thunder card. Madison encourages her but she's still sad about it. When Li walks in, Sakura thanks him for his help and he says she's no cardcaptor. They bicker a bit and Li gets mad. Zackery interrupts at an opportune moment and makes up a story about new students having to do various chores in class. During class, Sakura has the same dream of the tower and all the cards floating around her. Mr. Terada wakes her up and class ends.
After school, Rita is concerned about their test and she joins Sakura and Madison at Sakura's house to study. On their way home, there's a store Sakura wants to go to and they stop by to look at brooches. Sakura chooses a heart with wings, Madison gets a cross, and Rita buys a sword. Kero's busy playing videogames and Sakura and her friends study in the living room. All the girls put on their brooches when Rita suddenly blanks out. Her brooch turns into a sword and she attacks Sakura. When Sakura runs outside, Rita quickly follows. Kero senses a card and let's Sakura knows it's the Sword card.
The Sword card is controlling Rita, but Sakura doesn't want to fight her. When faced with no choice, Sakura releases her wand and uses Jump to dodge as Rita continues to chase her. At one of Rita's attacks, Li blocks her and tells Sakura that he'll take care of it. Sakura is completely against that and holds him back. Both of them fall and land in a bush. Li doesn't think she can handle it when Sakura prepares to fight and Kero bites him.
Sakura uses the Illusion card and Rita pauses when the illusion takes shape. She sees Mr. Terada and gets scared. Sakura knocks the sword from her hand and she faints. The Card Mistress catches her and seals the card. Kero and Li continue to argue and the small beast bites him again. Julian arrives at their house, wondering what happened. When he commented on Li's battle outfit, the latter runs away. The next day, the students are studying in the library and Sakura meets up with Rita. Rita can't remember anything from the day before, nor can she find her brooch. In turn, Sakura gives Rita her own pin.
Tori and Julian are talking and waiting for someone. Tori is angry about Li. Sakura comes running to meet them at this point with a package. A flaming piece of paper lands on Tori's sleeve and he puts it out. When he turns, he sees Li standing on the fence. Sakura arrives and gives Julian chocolates for helping out the night before. Li gets jealous, thinking he did more work and runs away. Madison, who came looking for Sakura, finds her so that they can work on a website.
