6. Seeing is Believing
During cheerleading practice, Nikki talks about what happened to her in the woods. She saw an orb of light and followed it. The orb flashed and she sees a ghost. Chelsea wants to see it while Sakura tried to find a way out of going. In the end, the three with Madison and Rita, go to look. On the way, Sakura is thinking of how the coming Sunday was her mom's birthday. As they go through the woods, Sakura hides behind Madison. They reach a clearing and a cliff, overlooking the highway. They don't see anything.
Sakura turns and sees an orb flash. A woman's silhouette appears and everyone runs. When they're far away, they discuss what they saw. Everyone saw something completely different. At home, Sakura talks to Kero and tells him about her fear of ghosts. Sakura's thoughts then turn to her mom. While washing dishes, Madison calls her and they go back to the woods, Sakura wearing a bunny costume. Sakura thinks it's a card. They see the orb and Sakura follows it with The Fly.
The orb flashes and Sakura's mother appears, Sakura recognizing her. Kero flies toward Sakura, but hits a barrier, keeping him out. Natasha, Sakura's mom, beckons to her and Sakura walks toward her and the cliff in a trance-like state. Sakura steps off the cliff and Natasha disappears. Sakura, unconscious, falls, but a hand grips hers and lowers her gently. Julian, walking by, catches Sakura. Later on, Sakura is at Julian's house. Tori comes over to pick her up and Julian accompanies him on the walk home. Tori carries his sister, who is fast asleep. Tori and Julian start to talk. Tori says when he sees his mom, he lies to Sakura and says he's talking to ghosts. It's because of him she's afraid of them.
The next day, Sakura stayed home and after school, Madison brings Kero back and visits her. Kero is sad because he couldn't help her. Sakura says she saw her mom and wants to go back no matter what. At night, back at the woods, the orb appears and flashes. Sakura sees her mom again and so does Kero and Madison. Sakura walks toward her while Natasha beckons to her again. Natasha leaves and Sakura tries to follow. Kero goes after her but is thrown back again.
Sakura steps off the ledge and falls again, knowing that who she thought was her mom wasn't. She releases Fly and flies back up to the cliffside. The image of Natasha fuzzes and Kero say it's a Clow Card. Sakura seals it and they learn it was the Illusion Card. Sakura cries a little bit because she really misses her mom. The next morning, Sakura is late for practice and is in a hurry to get to school. She places her birthday gift to her mom in front of Natasha's picture. Tori looks up from the newspaper and sees his mom hovering over Sakura. Natasha says Sakura had her worried but she'll be just fine, then disappears. Tori smiles and returns to his paper.
