24. The Past, the Present, and the Future
It's a dark and rainy day. In the AValon residence, Sakura, Tori, and Julian are having lunch. When Tori leaves to go to the library, Kero flies over to Julian and asks for Yue and Julian transforms into the guardian. Sakura's pouring tea by herself and then she turns around and is surprised to see Yue in his true form.
They all go to Sakura's room where Kero enjoys his cake. Sakura offers Yue tea but Kero says Yue doesn't need to eat as his strength comes from the moon. He then asks Sakura for milk and she leaves to get some. Both of them talk, first about how Sakura found the book and becoming a cardcaptor. They also discuss her captures of Shot, Snow, and Water. They know it's up to Sakura to defeat dark forces of magic and Yue admits he's fond of their mistress.
Kero transforms to his own true point at this time and they also talk about the captures of Cloud, Time, Twin, and Power. Sakura returns and freaks out again by seeing Kero and Yue in their true forms. They turn their backs to her as Sakura changes and goes out. The two guardians talk about Sakura again after she leaves.
First there was the Final Judgment, then the time of Tori and Mirror card when Sakura was sick. Also the capture of Earthy, having to battle Yue, the Dark and Light cards, the change to the Star wand, Sakura defeating Yue, and meeting Clow. They both go back downstairs and Kero says that now she has to change the cards.
Much later, Kero is in Sakura's room and looks outside at the setting sun. A figure bearing a staff lands at a nearby temple. Another figure with wings leaps onto a roof. Unaware, Sakura and Kero are enjoying a snack of watermelon. A third figure on a different roof straightens out and stands up. As Sakura's fixing up her bag, the first figure with the staff is standing outside the Avalon home, with Clow's shadow.
