12. Sakura's One Endless Day

Fujitaka: All of the items here are replicas of the artifacts that were found. In real life…
Sakura: At Tomoeda Elementary, we have one special class per trimester and everyone's fathers or mothers talk about what they do for work.
Fujitaka: Now, how was such a giant pyramid made?
Sakura: Yup, today it's my dad's turn. My dad works as a college professor. Actually, this is the first time I'm taking a lesson from my dad as well. I was thinking that archaeology must be difficult, but it seems kinda fun.
Fujitaka: The pyramid of King Kofu on the Giza strip is the largest pyramid that remains standing today. It is suspected that 40 or more long years were spent in building it. They say that 2,700,000 stones were used to make this pyramid…
Tomoyo: Sakura, your father is very wonderful.
Fujitaka: Oh? I thought I had about 10 more minutes…
Sakura: I wish class seemed this short all the time…The bell before lunch never seems to ring…and the bell after recess always rings too quickly.
Syaoran: Is it true that the pharaoh could make curses?
Fujitaka: Hmmm that's a tough question.
Syaoran: But, many of the people who ransacked the royal tombs got cursed, right?
Fujitaka: But then, you can't always say that a pyramid is a tomb.
Fujitaka: One particular ruler in Egypt is said to have made at least five pyramids.
Syaoran: Five!?
Fujitaka: Don't you think that's strange? To have five tombs. But then, there also are a lot of pyramids that have coffins in them.
Syaoran: For what purpose did they make them?
Fujitaka: You like stories like this?
Syaoran: Yes.
Fujitaka: If you're interested, come visit my house sometime. I have even more interesting artifacts back home, too.
Syaoran: Is that all right?
Fujitaka: Of course.
Takashi: Kinomoto's dad is such a wonderful guy.
Syaoran: Kinomoto…Kinomoto!?
Takashi: Yeah. Li, you didn't realize it by the last name? He's Sakura's father.
Sakura: W-What's with him this time…?
Fujitaka: Was it a little difficult? What I talked about today, that is.
Sakura: No, it was really easy to understand, and really interesting!
Fujitaka: I'm glad. Oh, what do you want to eat for dinner tonight?
Sakura: Huh? Wasn't is big brother's turn tonight?
Fujitaka: Touya has an exam tomorrow, so I switched with him.
Sakura: I see…then-
Sakura: What, recess is already over?
Fujitaka: Recess always feels too short.
Fujitaka: Now, hurry back to class.
Sakura: Okay…
Kero: What is Sakura doing up so late? It's time for good little kids to be asleep! I did it!
Sakura: Good luck on your exam…Here, please take this.
Touya: What's wrong?
Yukito: Oh, Sakura.
Sakura: U-Um…N-Nikuman…
Touya: Oh, a late-night snack. Thanks. Yuki, you're hungry, right?
Yukito: Thank you, Sakura.
Touya: It's late. Go to sleep.
Yukito: Good night.
Sakura: G-Good night.
Sakura: I could only say "Nikuman"…
Kero: Go to sleep already. I'm turning out the lights.
Kero: Well, good night.
Sakura: Good night.
Kero: Tomorrow is the last battle. It sure was a long haul.
Sakura: But Yukito is right beyond the wall…I'm getting a little nervous about it…Kero, didn't you start that game today…?
Kero: I was really going to spend only one day on it.
Sakura: Your eyes are going to go bad!
Kero: What's up this late at night? What bell is that?
Touya: Isn't that the bell at Sakura's school?
Yukito: It sure carries well.
Touya: But would it normally ring at a time like this?
Yukito: I thought that bell only rang around 5:00PM.
Kero: Is that thing screwed up?
Sakura: But that clock was never broken before.
Sakura: I'm gonna be late!
Kero: I couldn't sleep much after that last night…Well, I guess I'll end my long journey.
Sakura: Oh! I have a recorder test today!
Sakura: Bye, Kero!
Kero: Make sure to study hard! Now…ARGH! My data is all gone!!
Tomoyo: So, how are you doing?
Sakura: This high D is pretty hard to play.
Tomoyo: You'll be all right, Sakura, you usually perform really well in finals.
Sakura: You think so?
Tomoyo: Yes.
Sakura: I haven't practiced enough!
Tomoyo: You should relax.
Teacher: Now…next, Miss Kinomoto.
Sakura: Okay!
Tomoyo: Sakura.
Tomoyo: It's the next measure…
Boy 1: Over here! Over here!
Boy 2: Give it to me! To me!
Sakura: I made such a weird noise…
Tomoyo: You did very well on all the other parts.
Sakura: It's because you told me to relax, Tomoyo.
Sakura: But your performance was wonderful. I couldn't tell that it was the same song that I played.
Sakura: I wish I practiced more.
Sakura: Li is still practicing although the test is over.
Tomoyo: Could it be because he didn't do well today? But it's dangerous to practice while walking.
Sakura: Hey, did Li move from Hong Kong all by himself?
Tomoyo: Speaking of which, I haven't heard anything about his family…
Boy 3: Look out!
Tomoyo: That was splendid.
Sakura: Amazing!
Takashi: Li, that was an amazing kick!
Fujitaka: Cheers to both of you finishing your exams.
Sakura, Touya, and Fujitaka: Cheers!
Sakura: This is delicious!
Fujitaka: Sakura, you did your best.
Sakura: Hey, how did your test go, big brother?
Touya: So-so.
Sakura: I'm so frustrated! I made one mistake!
Touya: Are you sure it wasn't that you could only get one part right?
Sakura: Of course not!
Fujitaka: It's not embarrassing to make mistakes.
Fujitaka: But even if you're done with your exams, make sure to go over all of the parts that gave you trouble today.
Sakura: Okay.
Kero: I did it! I have to save properly today. Save, save…
Sakura: I did it!
Sakura: Hey, hey, did you hear that, Kero?
Kero: Didn't the recorder test end today?
Sakura: Yes, but dad told me to go over the parts that I couldn't manage today.
Kero: Nothing less from your dad. He says good things.
Sakura: I'm going to practice at school tomorrow, too!
Kero: All right! TOMORROW, I'm going into the final battle!
Kero: This has to be some sort of cruel joke! I know I saved properly yesterday!
Kero: Hey, you saw it too, right, Sakura?
Sakura: Is that so? Let's see, today…Oh, I'm going to be late!
Kero: I saved…
Sakura: Bye, Kero!
Kero: Why? Why?! WHY?!
Tomoyo: Today is the recorder test. Let's do our best.
Tomoyo: So, how are you doing?
Sakura: Huh? Oh, I practiced last night…
Tomoyo: Just like you to. Then you should be all right.
Sakura: It's the same…The same as yesterday…
Sakura: Hey, Tomoyo. There was a recorder test yesterday too, right?
Sakura: Because, I finished my test yesterday, and celebrated with my big brother at home.
Tomoyo: Sakura…are you nervous?
Sakura: It's not that…
Teacher: Now…next, Miss Kinomoto.
Sakura: Okay!
Tomoyo: Sakura…
Tomoyo: Nothing less from someone who performs well in finals.
Sakura: Could it be déjà vu?
Tomoyo: Déjà-vu?
Sakura: Yes. Feeling like you you've visited a place when you never have visited there…or feeling like you've had the same conversation before when you are talking to someone.
Sakura: But mine is really clear in my mind.
Sakura: That boy over there, too.
Sakura: It IS the same!
Tomoyo: And that being?
Sakura: It's the same as yesterday. After this, Li comes by and kicks the soccer ball that comes flying at him.
Tomoyo: Oh, he really is here now.
Sakura: Wait, he's not practicing his recorder…?
Syaoran: Don't you think it's a little strange?
Syaoran: We had a recorder test yesterday, too.
Syaoran: It seems like just the two of us have noticed that we're repeating the same day as yesterday. This is the doings of a Clow Card. You haven't been feeling it? The presence of a Clow Card.
Syaoran: The card is right there.
Boy 3: Look out!
Sakura: It's a little different from yesterday.
Takashi: Li, that was an amazing kick!
Tomoyo: It fits you very well.
Sakura: Hey…this outfit…?
Tomoyo: I pictured the image of a fairy that could fly freely through the night skies.
Kero: But, Sakura, how did you figure out where the card was?
Sakura: That…
Tomoyo: The camera is standing by.
Kero: Then let's go.
Sakura: I get it! This is the presence of a Clow Card!
Sakura: Huh? What?
Sakura: What in the world is going on?
Kero: The flow of time is…
Sakura: Kero…This is…?
Kero: It's TIME.
Sakura: TIME?
Kero: It's a card dealing with time. It freely controls the flow of time.
Tomoyo: The camera is standing by.
Kero: Those who don't have magical powers don't feel it when time is controlled. It looks like TIME chose the biggest clock in town, and fused with it.
Sakura: Then it's going to rewind an entire day, just like today?
Kero: The power to rewind one whole day occurs only once a day. And, if I remember correctly, it's only possible right at midnight.
Sakura: Midnight…
Sakura: So if midnight arrives, and TIME rewinds one whole day just like today…
Kero: We have to spend the same day over again.
Sakura: The recorder test again!
Kero: My tough battles are all gone, too. We have to seal it away quickly.
Sakura: But, what if it stops our time again?
Kero: We have to seal it away before then!
Kero: We have to hurry!
Sakura: What's that?
Kero: T-This is bad! It's speeding up time just around the clock tower!
Tomoyo: It fits you very well.
Sakura: The image of a fairy, right?
Tomoyo: That is correct. Nothing less from you, Sakura. I'm happy that you understand.
Kero: It really is tough to do the same day three times over. I wonder when I can finally get to the last battle.
Sakura: Really! I had to take the recorder test three times!
Kero: Why did we have to come at the same time, even? Wouldn't it have been better to leave earlier?
Sakura: But…! I celebrated with Dad and Big Brother after the test…and I practiced my recorder after that, and…
Syaoran: Sheesh, what are you doing?
Sakura: Li, is your face all right?
Tomoyo: The ball hit you in the face as you turned around.
Sakura: But the ball ended up in the goal anyway.
Tomoyo: It was amazing.
Syaoran: TIME is fused together with the clock tower! You can turn it back into a card if you use an offensive magic card to destroy the clock tower!
Tomoyo: You should not do that.
Syaoran: Why?
Sakura: Everyone in our town relies on that clock. I can't destroy it!
Syaoran: Then you plan to leave that card where it is!?
Sakura: I-I can't really leave it alone…But we can't destroy the clock.
Syaoran: If we can't destroy it, we have to approach it without getting noticed.
Syaoran: It's in the clock tower.
Syaoran: If you fly over there with magic, it can see you clearly!
Kero: There's no doubt. It's up on top of this place.
Sakura: Return to the guise-
Sakura: We didn't make it…? It was…no good?
Kero: This isn't good!
Sakura: Li!
Kero: You…!
Syaoran: Hurry and use the SHIELD card!
Sakura: Oh, Shield, protect me from the power of time! SHIELD!
Sakura: I did it!
Kero: All right! The powers of the card won't reach inside the Shield!
Syaoran: It's trying to run!
Syaoran: Thunder god, come!
Sakura: You were prepared?
Kero: Hurry, Sakura!
Sakura: Return to the guise that you were meant to be in! CLOW CARD!
Sakura: Why?!
Kero: The card is owned by the one who turned it back into its original shape.
Sakura: But I'm the one who sealed it.
Kero: But he's the one that held back the power of TIME. It's frustrating, but the TIME card is his.
Sakura: You're kidding…
Sakura: Morning!
Tomoyo: Good morning!
Sakura: Starting today, time will pass normally again.
Tomoyo: That is true. Although I didn't realize it at all…
Tomoyo: Oh? Sakura, that recorder…
Sakura: But we have a recorder test today…
Tomoyo: That was yesterday. Today, we have a Kanji writing test during first period.
Sakura: I was thinking about the wrong schedule!
